Sisig Society: A visit to a new Sisig Heaven

That is how NY columnist, Ligaya Mishan described the all time pulutan and delicious main dish which originated  from Pampanga. We all know it, it’s SISIG!.

Sisig was invented by the famous Kapampangan Sisig Queen, Aling Lucing. She originally served the dish using pig’s cheeks and ears, chicken liver with vinegar and calamansi in sizzling hot plates. Since then, the popular sisig got different variations from the meat parts and other ingredients.

Lots of restaurant serve it, even fine dinings do, but have you recently visited the new sisig heaven in town? If not, grab your wallets and go to  SISIG SOCIETY now!

Sisig Society is a newly opened casual restaurant just inside the busy Eastwood Citywalk. What’s special about this resto is that it makes you choose on two options on how you want your sisig to be, either Pick your Sisig or their DIY Create your own Sisig.

Pick your sisig with just 149 pesos

For Pick your Sisig, you get to choose for pork, chicken, seafood or tofu. Then, decide if you want it crispy, salsa, diablo or bacon and cheese.

Here’s a guide:
CRISPY – served with chicken cris and sarsa
SALSA – served with salsa, cheese and red sauce
DIABLO – served with bacon, chorizo and diablo sauce
BACON AND CHEESE – served with bacon, cheese and creamy sauce

Hungry now? Worry no more since your pick comes with egg and rice already!

Pick your Sisig must try!

I asked the store manager on duty what’s the must try and she suggested Pork Bacon and Cheese so that’s what I ordered. It is something new, crispy bacons with the pork went well with taste. Cheese and creamy sauce is promising. However to be honest umay is your enemy here. You’ll get satiated because of how creamy the taste of the sisig. (I suggesr you order soda or juice as umay fighter.) But as I have said, this is something new so don’t worry, it is good!


Pick your Sisig: Pork Bacon and Cheese
My boyfriend chose Pork Diablo. This is pork sisig with bacon bits and chorizo. For this, I must say, BEWARE. It is soooooooooooooooooooooo spicy that even the dish is so yummy, he can’t even eat it all. Hahahahaha! So since I am with him, I also tried the pork diablo and helped him out while he indulged himself with my Pork Bacon and Cheese.  For people who loves spicy food, try this one!

Create your Sisig with just 169 pesos
The DIY sisig is for the choosy ones. If the combinations available for Pick your Sisig isn’t enough, this one is for you.


Here are the steps.
Step 1. Choose your protein

  • pork
  • chicken
  • seafood
  • tofu

Step 2. Choose your two Toppings

  • bacon
  • chorizo
  • cheese
  • chicken crisp
  • mushroom
  • onion
  • salsa

Step 3. Choose your sauce

  • creamy
  • diablo
  • red
  • sarsa
  • secret sauce

Step 4. Choose between nachos, rice and soft tacos


Did I also mention that the resto also serves beer? So for those who have drinking sessions every weekends, invite your buddies, have a beer and eat sisig!
