Lilac Adventures: Brad and Pit’s Ribshack

Heyaaaa! Long have I dreamt of trying out restos in Lilac Marikina, and now, finally! I live in Quezon City and for my readers, you may noticed I have explored different restaurants and cafe in Maginhawa. Yet I know, there are couple of eat streets booming and popping from left and right. So, I guess, checking out Lilac is not too late, yes?

After a long and tiring day wandering, checking the church and the venue of Yana and Lance’s wedding reception, we have decided to have dinner together. They asked me to check where to eat so I suggested we need to try and dine in Brad and Pit’s Ribshack.

Lilac Adventures: Brad and Pit's Ribshack

Brad and Pit’s Ribshack has this dark vintage theme. There were also spooky decorations to match the Halloween season. I was fascinated with the old typewriter, coca-cola bottles and old radio cassette player, and oh, the writings on the wall.

I initially thought we have to wait because the place is already full but we have found out that there are other seats on the other side adjacent to the kitchen. It is located to where you can see the old television. Thank God we didn’t have to wait. We are already hungry! ๐Ÿ˜›

If you think that bottle Lance is holding in the above photo is sort of an alcoholic drink, na ah. That’s just water. Haha. I like the concept. Anyhow,ย  it’s not always that a resto should break your wallet just to give you good food. Brad and Pit’s Ribshack is well known for their affordable and delish rib steaks. I ordered Original Ribs Combo, Lance and Glen ordered Spicy Barbie Ribs while Yana decided to try Steak Combo. Ribs Combo is their signature. It’s served with corn and carrots and plain rice. You may choose between original and spicy barbie. Mine’s the original. Ribs are marinated and drizzled with sweet barbeque sauce. It’s typical to have a knife in the utensils they give you for restos which serve steaks, but there aren’t anything given to us. Why? Because the steak is so tender! Additional to our main orders, I added Mount Nachos. I literally enjoyed. Itโ€™s literally a mountain of nachos drizzled with melted cheese, spicy barbeque sauce and chillis (no tomatoes). This is a must try! I love spicy food nowadays! For drinks,w e settled for sodas in can and root beer float.

I hope I didn’t disappoint my friends by choosing Brad and Pit’s Ribshack, because I didn’t. I would definitely return and try the other delish dishes they have on their menu. On my list for my next visit is Ribs Alfredo, Wings Combo and Dynamite Sticks!

See you on my next, food crawl!

  1. Looks like a cute little restaurant that could use more publicity. would you have any idea how many grams a portion is? For pricing, that is very enticing.

  2. I showed my husband your photos and he wanted to visit this resto ASAP. LOL! The last time I visited Lilac St was 5 years ago and I won’t be surprised if I see new restaurants in the area. How’s the ventilation? This looks like a small resto but I think it’s worth a try.

  3. Brad and Pit’s? I might just go there coz I’m smitten by it name. Lolz… Love the spookiness of the place. Those cobwebs are perfection! Looks like the place wasn’t dusted for eons! Looks like a perfect place to hangout with friends.

  4. Wow, that name is already popular ๐Ÿ™‚
The spooky decoration is just superbly awesome. Eerie but exciting. Wouldn’t mind trying out this place if I had an opportunity for sure…
“The feeling of wanting more” when you feel that, you know you chose the correct restaurant.

  5. Me and boyfriend frequent Lilac because it’s just near my boyfriend’s place.. We tried this place once and for the price, I think it’s already sulit. Though for me the ribs are quite normal, nothing special. What I liked about the place on the other hand is the interior, I also like how they incorporate the vintage style decor to the place. Next time you visit Lilac, you might want to check out Singlish Cafe for your Singaporean and western fix! Definitely a must try. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Aww the restaurant is far from my place. But, who knows might drive to Marikina for this because of the affordable price! Looks like you had a good time too. Got curious with the “tenderness” of steak you mentioned.

  7. We rarely find ourselves in Marikina. But, if ever we do find ourselves there, we may give this a try. Just P149 for an original ribs combo? Count us in! The restaurant seems like what we normally ate in during our college days. I like how their steak is a fall of the bone one. If you’ve tried Casa Verde, which will you prefer, Brad and Pits rib shack or Casa Verde? Just want to know your opinion.

  8. So many interesting restaurants in Marikina! Have you tried Rustic Mornings? Anyway, Brad and Pits looks like a cool place to eat and drink. You are making me hungry with the description of the steak! Yummy! What’s with the cobwebs? Looks like they’re still in Halloween mode. Hehe.

  9. The place looks amazing and unique! It is like a hole in the wall type of restaurant. Love it!! I used to from Marikina and thought everything there was boring. Iprobably should have roamed around more~

  10. I love the decorations, they look really unique. I find it funny how they serve this with rice as in England that would be a big no-no. However, since my mum is Chinese but dad is English, I am used to people mixing East and West when cooking.
